"Dramaville"

On Saturday a few friends and I went to Mbudya, a small Island about 20 minutes boat ride from the White Sands Hotel, Mbezi Beach.
It was a nice relaxing day, we had lots of catching up to do.
Things got a bit crazy towards the end of the night (thanks to me and the booze in my system lol!)
We took some really great pictures, too many in fact! It was a lovely day.

Sadly I was sick for most of Sunday, I wasn't picky in choosing what to drink on the previous day hence ended up with an insane amount of alcohol, different kinds, and oh well, we know how that goes.
But the good thing is I did not die. I'm still here, and I still have some good memories from that day.

I was forced to do some reflection this Week, about my life.  I just can't seem to live a drama free life, no matter how hard I try! If I am able to behave and be all calm and mature, then someone in my life will do something that will send my world spinning all over the place and before I know it, a full blown drama episode erupts, and it usually takes about a week or so until things cool down again!! Drama drama drama!

Oh well, how boring would life be if it was all roses, sunshine and butterflies all day every day...
 A bit of rain, and thunder helps to make it somewhat more interesting. It makes life worth living. The trick is in knowing just how much rain and thunder you can take. And I for one, do not mind the rainy days. If anything, they make me appreciate the sunny days even more!

Seriously how beautiful is that view? And the water is just so clear, and clean, the sky is amazing. I will buy a Yacht one day and spend my Holidays just cruising about. Lets hope I will have someone by my side...well its nice to dream right?! Or maybe I will buy a beach house instead...I just need to have access to such views, such beauty whenever I want! 



A very good friend got me that swimsuit, such a darling when he feels up to it!! Its perfect because I don't need to suck in my tummy all the time!





I just love that picture! Next time I go, depending on who I'm with, I might consider spending the night there. I can only imagine how beautiful the sunrise is. Who wouldn't want to wake up to such beauty?

Where do I start... Every year, when it's time to pay my rent, I start thinking about how much I would like for this to one day stop altogether. My parents were teachers, employed by the Government, so I was born in a house that my parents ended up living in for more than twenty years. And when my father retired a few years ago, he was able to purchase the said house from the government. Rent was never an issue. Until I started my own life, in this beautiful and crazy City. Having recently moved to a bigger place, my rent has gone higher. Most Landlords require payment of a year's rent upfront, and if you are lucky, six months. I am positive rent would not be so painful if we could pay on a monthly basis. When I own a couple of houses I will let my tenants pay in this way. Death, Loss and grief...and new beginnings

 I have been dreading doing this. Writing about the past year.  But I woke up with a very heavy heart today, and its not an unfamiliar feeling. I have felt this way the day my father passed away, on 2nd February 2017, and the day my mother passed away too, on 3rd September 2019. I fear that it means another death is eminent. But I am scared of even voicing those thoughts. I need to write two submissions today and unless I am able to shake off this heaviness in my heart, I fear I might not be able to meet my deadlines. So here goes. When my father died, three years ago, as hard and painful as it was,I never really came as close to death as I did when mama passed on. I was with him for a week at the Hospital as he was hooked to a machine. I got to talk to him, to pray with him, to tell him I loved him, to apologize for being a crappy daughter. Time to get back to writing...

Hello! It sure has been a long time. So much has happened in the past few Months. I had a baby, beautiful little boy, who is now a little over eight Months, I got married to a wonderful Man, who is of course the father of my baby, and I lost my dad...this Month, to a freaking brain hemorrhage. I feel as though I have grown in so many ways. I have changed. Becoming a mother has brought certain qualities to the surface that I was not aware I possess. I think Its time for me to get back to doing what I love, and that includes writing in this little blog of mine. I am going to concentrate on different topics that do not necessarily touch on my personal life. I do tend to get carried away and pour my heart out, but I will try to control that and instead find things to write about that I am passionate about - aside from me LOL! So expect a  post soon...
