I have not posted in a while. Sigh..
I guess I could pretend I have been busy. But I have not. I have just been lazy!
Well anyways,I had somewhat nice Weekend, a friend had a birthday at the beginning of last Week and we weren't able to meet till friday, so there was dinner and wine and lots of Cake. People got tipsy and had too much to eat...such happy times! I love these girls, they make my life that much more meaningful!

Priceless smiles!!






With such people in one's life, what more does one need! I keep saying how blessed I am with amazing friends, and I wont stop. Because really girls, that was a fun night. The laughter, the silly conversation, its what life's really all about. So thank you and I cant wait for the next meet...

The food was amazing, it was a Brazilian Restaurant called Rodizio, located at Masaki, the meat was fresh and delicious and so was the Salad. I am so going back again soon.

The time spent with my friends on friday night as well as Sunday evening helped to remind me of a few very important things. The most important thing is not loosing sight of who you are. Doing what makes you happy, taking time to actually live. For yourself. Putting yourself first. Putting your happiness first.
I am going to take time to do those things that make me happy.
And you should too.

Where do I start... Every year, when it's time to pay my rent, I start thinking about how much I would like for this to one day stop altogether. My parents were teachers, employed by the Government, so I was born in a house that my parents ended up living in for more than twenty years. And when my father retired a few years ago, he was able to purchase the said house from the government. Rent was never an issue. Until I started my own life, in this beautiful and crazy City. Having recently moved to a bigger place, my rent has gone higher. Most Landlords require payment of a year's rent upfront, and if you are lucky, six months. I am positive rent would not be so painful if we could pay on a monthly basis. When I own a couple of houses I will let my tenants pay in this way. Death, Loss and grief...and new beginnings

 I have been dreading doing this. Writing about the past year.  But I woke up with a very heavy heart today, and its not an unfamiliar feeling. I have felt this way the day my father passed away, on 2nd February 2017, and the day my mother passed away too, on 3rd September 2019. I fear that it means another death is eminent. But I am scared of even voicing those thoughts. I need to write two submissions today and unless I am able to shake off this heaviness in my heart, I fear I might not be able to meet my deadlines. So here goes. When my father died, three years ago, as hard and painful as it was,I never really came as close to death as I did when mama passed on. I was with him for a week at the Hospital as he was hooked to a machine. I got to talk to him, to pray with him, to tell him I loved him, to apologize for being a crappy daughter. Time to get back to writing...

Hello! It sure has been a long time. So much has happened in the past few Months. I had a baby, beautiful little boy, who is now a little over eight Months, I got married to a wonderful Man, who is of course the father of my baby, and I lost my dad...this Month, to a freaking brain hemorrhage. I feel as though I have grown in so many ways. I have changed. Becoming a mother has brought certain qualities to the surface that I was not aware I possess. I think Its time for me to get back to doing what I love, and that includes writing in this little blog of mine. I am going to concentrate on different topics that do not necessarily touch on my personal life. I do tend to get carried away and pour my heart out, but I will try to control that and instead find things to write about that I am passionate about - aside from me LOL! So expect a  post soon...
