Milestones You can have in your Life besides Getting Married!!

I came across this interesting article that lists forty important milestones, besides getting married...

It was interesting going through them and seeing which ones I can cross off as having accomplished!
Why don't you take a look and see how many you can cross off your own list!

Here is the list!

1. Signing a Lease for an apartment that's completely yours - Check!
2. Doing something that's terrified you your entire life - Nope!
3.Going through a painful breakup and refusing to let it drown you - Check!
4. Asking for a raise when you know you deserve it - Sadly no
5.Giving money that you don't have enough of to people or causes you believe in - I don't think so
6.Taking your parents on a vacation or out to dinner
7.Reconnecting with an old friend that you have always regretted loosing touch with
8.Giving a heartfelt well written speech at a friends' wedding
9.Accepting a job or promotion that pulls you out of your comfort zone - I haave!! I diiiiiid! Went all the way to Lindi, Kilwa, Southern Tanzania to work as a Magistrate!! So Check on this one!
10.Buying or leasing a car completely on your own - yes
11.Deciding to go back and get your masters because you feel this is the right thing to do at the time...nope! But i'm considering it!
12.Quiting a perfectly good job, not because it is challenging or it is difficult, but because it makes you miserable or unhappy - Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Check!

It's such a good feeling to feel that you have unlimited options in the direction your life takes. It's scary of course, especially when you have responsibilities...be brave, make the right decision for you.

Where do I start... Every year, when it's time to pay my rent, I start thinking about how much I would like for this to one day stop altogether. My parents were teachers, employed by the Government, so I was born in a house that my parents ended up living in for more than twenty years. And when my father retired a few years ago, he was able to purchase the said house from the government. Rent was never an issue. Until I started my own life, in this beautiful and crazy City. Having recently moved to a bigger place, my rent has gone higher. Most Landlords require payment of a year's rent upfront, and if you are lucky, six months. I am positive rent would not be so painful if we could pay on a monthly basis. When I own a couple of houses I will let my tenants pay in this way. Death, Loss and grief...and new beginnings

 I have been dreading doing this. Writing about the past year.  But I woke up with a very heavy heart today, and its not an unfamiliar feeling. I have felt this way the day my father passed away, on 2nd February 2017, and the day my mother passed away too, on 3rd September 2019. I fear that it means another death is eminent. But I am scared of even voicing those thoughts. I need to write two submissions today and unless I am able to shake off this heaviness in my heart, I fear I might not be able to meet my deadlines. So here goes. When my father died, three years ago, as hard and painful as it was,I never really came as close to death as I did when mama passed on. I was with him for a week at the Hospital as he was hooked to a machine. I got to talk to him, to pray with him, to tell him I loved him, to apologize for being a crappy daughter. Time to get back to writing...

Hello! It sure has been a long time. So much has happened in the past few Months. I had a baby, beautiful little boy, who is now a little over eight Months, I got married to a wonderful Man, who is of course the father of my baby, and I lost my dad...this Month, to a freaking brain hemorrhage. I feel as though I have grown in so many ways. I have changed. Becoming a mother has brought certain qualities to the surface that I was not aware I possess. I think Its time for me to get back to doing what I love, and that includes writing in this little blog of mine. I am going to concentrate on different topics that do not necessarily touch on my personal life. I do tend to get carried away and pour my heart out, but I will try to control that and instead find things to write about that I am passionate about - aside from me LOL! So expect a  post soon...
