Death, Loss and grief...and new beginnings
I have been dreading doing this. Writing about the past year. But I woke up with a very heavy heart today, and its not an unfamiliar feeling. I have felt this way the day my father passed away, on 2nd February 2017, and the day my mother passed away too, on 3rd September 2019. I fear that it means another death is eminent. But I am scared of even voicing those thoughts. I need to write two submissions today and unless I am able to shake off this heaviness in my heart, I fear I might not be able to meet my deadlines. So here goes. When my father died, three years ago, as hard and painful as it was,I never really came as close to death as I did when mama passed on. I was with him for a week at the Hospital as he was hooked to a machine. I got to talk to him, to pray with him, to tell him I loved him, to apologize for being a crappy daughter.
